paper thin am I

reflections entwined
chrysanthemum season’s last
gale’s peak shreds shoji

The prompt at d’Verse is if walls could talk over at the poetry pub.

  1. If a temporary, movable paper wall could talk what tales would it tell? I’m thinking of a shoji as a rootless, vagabond wall and the mystery of the first line of your haiku.

    • Welcome Mark. Thanks for your observations. I try to write with multiple meanings in my poems, especially haiku. I counted at least seven. The first line… well, reflections of what? Internal or external? People? Thoughts? Objects?

  2. Glass or paper houses have always freaked me; of course there are different grades/types of paper, some like cardboard that is pretty resilient; my take on your piece was a refrigerator box for a homeless person in the park.
